i put a 3 litre v6 essex into a series 2 and owned it for 12 years and 2 engines later . bored it out to 3.1 , powermax pistons , 310 degs cam and 4 barrel holley, piper magnum distributor and ported heads . it went well until they dropped the octane rating in petrol , then problems started like melting pistons .
